These shou sugi ban japanese style Byron Bay chopping boards are made from the naturally antibacterial timber camphor Laurel and are burnt to give it a charred black look which also helps to seal the boards.
All the boards are handmade in my workshop at Byron Bay. The patterns in every piece of timber vary so it may not look exactly like the one in the picture.
Every piece is finely sanded and charred ‘shou sugi ban’ to give a really smooth feel and sealed with a natural grapeseed oil.
These timber boards are perfect for any home or commercial kitchen and are great gifts.
